Varsha Rajanahally

Conservation Architect

Varsha Rajanahally has been a Conservation Architect at GNHM since 2017 and is currently working on projects based out of Mysore - The Mysore Palace, and Jagan Mohan Palace.

Varsha graduated from RVCA, Bangalore with a B.Arch. degree. After her MSc in Architectural Conservation from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland she interned for 6 months with Edinburgh World Heritage Trust. After which, she was offered a scholarship to participate in a specialized technical course in “The Restoration of Archaeological Wood with particular interest in wooden artefacts of Egyptian Civilization” at Istituto Europeo Del Restauro, Italy.

Her interests are primarily in adaptive reuse and documentation of heritage structures. She is also keen on understanding and recreating traditional materials used in buildings for ongoing conservation projects.
